Like flowers from a garden, children and adults alike swarm Kate Spade and pluck the lightly branded pinwheels from the window, evoking the sense of play and whimsicality that Kate Spade- the brand- captures so well.

And what genius marketing themselves. People are walking around Soho with Kate Spade’s window display in hand! I spoke to one of the staff ‘re-planting’ the display and she informed me that all of the pinwheels were taken within the first hour of opening last Saturday. Passers-by went so far as to climb up the sill for their piece- a Pinwheel Frenzy! I walked around with mine all day and had several people stop and ask me where I got it. I told them Kate Spade. I guess this now makes me an ambassador.
